Sheila Murphy Wollam was born in Washington, D.C., but grew up in Houston, Texas. In 1990, she received a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Texas at Austin; in 1993, she graduated with honors from the University of Houston Law Center.
Ms. Wollam began her law practice as a prosecutor with the Harris County District Attorney’s Office. During her years there, she tried over forty felony and misdemeanor cases and, as a chief prosecutor in several courts, supervised and mentored many junior prosecutors in the courtroom.

In 1998, Ms. Wollam joined the civil firm Franklin, Cardwell & Jones as part of a team of lawyers and nurses dedicated to the defense of complex medical negligence claims. In 2003, she transitioned to the commercial litigation section of the firm where she represented both plaintiffs and defendants in a wide variety of claims in federal and state court, including breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, premises liability, legal malpractice, personal injury, wrongful death, oilpatch disputes, employment disputes, and non-compete/non-disclosure matters. In 2010, Ms. Wollam moved with her family to Wimberley, Texas where her husband, Erik Wollam, founded the Central Texas branch of Lucero Wollam. Ms. Wollam now brings her extensive and broad-based experience to the firm in an of-counsel capacity.
